Press the button to switch the system on/off. The
LED in the button turns on when side assist is
switched on.

Removing
- Remove the brake caliper with the brake pads and brake
carrier. Refer to
→ Chapter "Brake Caliper, Removing and Installing".
Caution
Do not actuate the brakes or the electromechanical
parking brake when the brake caliper is removed.
- Remove the securing bolt
Radio -R-, Removing and Installing
- If replacing the control module, select the "Replace Control
Module" function on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Use Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Activate the parking brake.
- Move the selector lever/gearshift lever all the way to the
rear.
