Audi Q5: Antenna Amplifier, Removing and Installing
Antenna Amplifier -R24-/Antenna Amplifier 4 -R113-, Removing and Installing
The Antenna Amplifier -R24-/Antenna Amplifier 4 -R113- are located at the bottom of the rear lid.
Removing and installing is identical.
- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.
WARNING
Danger of unintended engine ignition
Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key from the vehicle interior for all work performed on the high voltage vehicle.
Removing
- Remove the rear lid trim panel. Refer to → Body Interior; Rep. Gr.70; Luggage Compartment Trim Panels; Lower Rear Lid Trim Panel, Removing and Installing.
- Disconnect the connectors -2- and -4- from the Antenna Amplifier -R24--3-.
- Remove the bolt -1- and remove the Antenna Amplifier -R24--3- from the rear lid -5-.
Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.

Antenna Amplifier 3 -R112-, Removing and Installing
The Antenna Amplifier 3 -R112- is located at the top of the rear lid.
- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key from the vehicle interior for all work performed on the high voltage vehicle.
Removing
- Remove the rear lid trim panel. Refer to → Body Interior; Rep. Gr.70; Luggage Compartment Trim Panels; Upper Rear Lid Trim Panel, Removing and Installing.
- Disconnect the connectors -1- and -3- from the Antenna Amplifier 3 -R112--2-.
- Remove the bolt -4- and remove the Antenna Amplifier 3 -R112--2- from the rear lid -5-.
Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.

Antenna Module, Removing and Installing
Left Antenna Module -R108-, Removing and Installing
The Left Antenna Module - R108- is located on the left D-pillar.
- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key from the vehicle interior for all work performed on the high voltage vehicle.
Removing
- Remove the left D-pillar trim panel. Refer to → Body Interior; Rep. Gr.70; Passenger Compartment Trim; D-Pillar Trim Panel, Removing and Installing.
- Disconnect the connectors -3- and -5- from the Left Antenna Module -R108--4-.
- Remove the screw -2- and remove the Left Antenna Module -R108--4- from the D-pillar -1-.
Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.

Roof Antenna, Removing and Installing
Roof Antenna -R216-, Removing and Installing
The Roof Antenna -R216- has 3 connections maximum.
The antenna wires are attached to the left and right roof crossmembers.
The rear headliner must be lowered in order to remove the Roof Antenna -R216-.
- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

Turn off the ignition and remove the ignition key from the vehicle interior for all work performed on the high voltage vehicle.
Removing
- Lower the back of the headliner. Refer to → Body Interior; Rep. Gr.70; Roof Trim Panels; Headliner, Removing and Installing.
- Disconnect the connectors -4-, -5- and -6- to the antenna wires.
- Remove the antenna wires up to the Roof Antenna -R216-.
- Remove nut -3-.
- Carefully turn the Roof Antenna - R216--1- so that the attachments on the base of the antenna can fit through the roof opening.
- Remove the Roof Antenna -R216--1- from the roof -2-.
Installing
- Guide antenna wires through the opening in the roof and carefully attach the Roof Antenna -R216-.
- Make sure the seal fits correctly.
- Perform further installation in reverse order.
