With the driver's door open, pull the lever under
the inst
Pull the hood down until the pressure from the
struts is reduced.
Let the hood drop down and latch in place. Do
not try to push it shut; it may fail to engage.

If old brake pads are being replaced with new ones, then it is necessary to
check the brake rotor for wear.
