The MMI Infotainment system is available in the following
equipment levels:

The Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- inside

The Front Information Display Control Head -J685- (Display)
is located in the center of the instrument panel.
- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and
remove the ignition key.

Removing
- Press belt height adjuster button and bring height adjuster
slide into lowest position.
- Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel. Refer to
→ Chapter "B-Pillar Trim Panel, Removing and Installing, Upper
B-Pillar Trim Panel".
- Move the upper B-pillar trim to the side
The flange/driveshaft used before must be installed.
If the flange/driveshaft is also being replaced, do the
following. Refer to
→ Chapter "Flange Shaft Ring, Replacing, 0BD".
